I’m kind of tired of seeing this crap about people who work at places like Wendy’s or Taco Bell demanding higher wages because they can’t make their rent or pay bills on minimum wage. Like seriously, working for companies like that aren’t supposed to be careers but temporary part-time jobs to learn average working skills, or how to handle money and work with different types of people. Demanding higher pay will result in higher priced products, the $1 value fry will go up to $3 because you want to work in the Wendy’s drive-thru the rest of your life. I only get paid $8.25 and I’ve been at the same place for 4 years, it sucks but at the same time I do minimal work and my job isn’t worth getting paid $15/hour. Companies only pay you the amount that your job is worth, and being a part-time employee of a fast food joint or retail store isn’t worth that much, you’re disposable employees because these aren’t the places to make careers out of.
